We’re almost at the end of the dumpster fire that was 2020. Hopefully, that adds a little bit of extra holiday cheer for you and your families. However, we are still in the midst of a massive public health crisis. So on today’s episode, we are going to spotlight some ways you can help your fellow neighbors.

Whether it is giving some money, to volunteering, to simply going out and enjoying what the neighborhood has to offer, there are many ways to give back this holiday season. Here are a few of them.

Holiday Fundraisers

Mutual Aid and Immigrant Services

Brooklyn Immigrant Community Support (BICS)

We can personally vouch for the important work this group has been doing. You can read more about them at Bklyner, or visit their Facebook page.

Arab American Association of New York (AAANY)

The Arab American Association has a great fundraising page where you can directly see how your contribution will impact families in need.

Volunteering

Our State Senator also provided an excellent list of ways you can help volunteer your time this holiday season…

Enjoying Bay Ridge for the Holidays

Our friends at Stand4 Gallery (you may remember them from a previous episode!) and the Bay Ridge 5th Avenue BID (who we also interviewed!) are holding a pop-up gallery event. The exhibition features artists who participated in transforming benches along 5th avenue into works of art.
